On Tuesday, November 29, 2017 the Gothenburg Air and Climate Centre organized a workshop, “PM2.5 as a global sustainability indicator: advantages and disadvantages" at the City of Gothenburg environmental office.
The meeting brought together more than 20 scientists from the Gothenburg region who are interested in sustainable air quality initiatives.

[14 Dec 2023] At the turn of the year, Chalmers University of Technology, the University of Gothenburg and University West will launch their new joint collaboration arena Wexsus - West Sweden Nexus for Sustainable Development. The new collaboration arena will work in close collaboration with the Västra Götaland region and other societal actors will be invited to develop partnerships. The purpose of Wexsus is to exchange knowledge that strengthens society's ability to drive the transition towards a sustainable society together. The Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development, GMV, will cease to exist as an organisation at the end of the year and will then be merged with its operations in Wexsus.
[14 Jun 2023] Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg's joint organization Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development (GMV) will be merged into a new West Swedish arena, which will start operations in the beginning of next year.
[22 May 2023] Renova donates a scholarship worth SEK 100,000 to PhD students and young researchers at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg who are working in environmental research relevant to Renova's operations.
